Reflecting on attending the @glaucoma.uk Annual Lectures in London today during World Glaucoma Week. It was great to see research developments being shared from across the UK, including Abigail Christie presenting on behalf of the Liverpool team. Hearing from colleagues nationwide, and from people living with glaucoma themselves was a powerful reminder of the importance of listening to patient experiences, particularly around virtual glaucoma clinics. Excellent talks from Professor Ted Garway-Heath on current research and Professor Anthony King on quality of life in glaucoma highlighted how vital it is to look beyond clinical outcomes. Also wonderful to see my former mentor Professor Cecilia Fenerty begin her role as Chair of Glaucoma UK.
